HL HOUSE

Renovation of a newly acquired townhouse in the beautiful neighbourhood of Markgrave in Antwerp. The project would be done in several phases. This neighbourhood  consists of a number of large heritage houses each with their unique characteristics and detailing. In this house, these elements were certainly also present; the visitor is welcomed in a beautiful marble hall, and on each level there is beautiful ceiling decoration, as well as high doors. The challenge with this renovation project was to create a unity between the existing elements and the client’s new and more modern tastes. In this first phase, we will tackle the second floor, which will be their master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and dressing room. An important aspect for the customer was to separate the bedroom from the dressing room and bathroom. Moreover, they wanted to create a floor that exuded tranquility. For this reason, we chose soft colors; for the bathroom floors we opted for carrara marble, and on the dressing closets we applied white textured paint.
